Hygienilac (Active Ingredient)
Hygienilac does not employ silver technology and is completely UV stable.
Hygienilac’s anti-bacterial properties do not migrate on contact with water.
How does Hygienilac work?
- It prevents the bacteria’s access to nutrients so they starve and die
- It has a kill rate of 99.999% and works within 60 seconds of contact
- Proven effective up to 72hrs and when used on clothing reduces bad odours
- These products are completely safe to use and classified as non hazardous
What tests have been done?
Hygienilac Germ Warfare & Fabrix products have passed the following:
- BS EN 13704 - Sporicidal activity test log 6.7 reduction (C.diff spores)
- BS EN 1276 - Bactericidal activity test log 5 reduction
- BS EN 1500 - Disinfectant & Antiseptics test
- BS EN 1275 - Fungicidal activity test
- BS EN 13697 - Bactericidal test non-porous surfaces
The active ingredient has approvals from the following organisations:
- Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
- Approved for indirect or incidental food contact
- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
- It is non carcinogenic, non mutagenic and non skin sensitising

Hygienilac has also been given an endorsement by the NHS Infection Control Rapid Review Panel (Surface Coating Category).
What is Germ Warfare?
Germ warfare is the only cleaning and janitorial product range which is classified as Non Hazardous. It has been developed over a period of 6 years and is the only product range containing Hygienilac proven to kill SUPER BUGS including C.difficile spores.

Why it works
Here’s the technical bit:
- Germ Warfare active ingredient Hygienilac is membrane active without specific key lock reactions with parts of the micro-organism cell. It is not thought possible that bacteria, fungi can build up any form of immunity to Germ Warfare active ingredient Hygienilac. It works by disrupting microbes ability to reproduce thus organisms remaining become non-viable and die
- The product range has a log reduction kill rate against bacteria spores of between 3.6 to 6.75 on 60 second contact time. This means within 60 seconds we kill 99.999% of bacteria. No other product range has this kill rate.
- The active ingredient Hygienilac has been proven to be active up to 72hrs after first application. This means it continues to kill bacteria for up to 3 days
- In laundry product the active ingredient stays in the clothing and continues to kill bacteria and reduce odour
- The product is completely safe. Food safe, child safe, safe around animals
- Environmentally friendly product range. Biodegreable
Germ Warfare Products do not contain
- Silver – Does not employ silver technology so is completely UV stable and does not migrate out after prolonged contact with water
- Antibiotics – Can be expensive and prolong use can build up an immunity to the product
- Dangerous chemicals – No need for specialist clothing
- Heavy metals ,Formaldehydes, solvents
